Features Update: Facebook introduces page management history, twitter removes audience insights tab

Facebook has introduced a Page Management History feature for admins that shows all actions taken on a Page, when they were made and which admin/editor made them. The feature which is only visible to people who help manage your Page can be accessed when admins click on the “Settings” tab at the top of the Page and then click “Page Management History” link in the left column. History information you can view of actions taken by admins include:

  • Added and removed Page admins
  • Changed Page roles of Page admins (example: changing the permission of an admin from Admin to Editor)
  • Changed Page Settings
  • Added, removed or left groups

The history goes back to 1st November 2019 and can be downloaded to your business history in Business Manager.

Twitter, on the other hand, has notified users of its decision to remove Audience Insights effective 30th January 2020. The feature was launched in 2015 to give users in-depth data about their followers, including demographic profiles, purchase behavior insights, mobile device usage data and more. The twitter notification is currently live when users go to view Insights in Twitter Analytics.

As at the time of writing the update, Twitter has yet to provide further information about a possible tool alternative, but the communications platform added a new ‘Conversation Insights’ feature to Media Studio in November 2019.
